1and1 (Company name: “1&1 Internet Inc.”) is owned by a German company United Internet.
But I don’t think you are really interested about the history, owners, shareholders, CEO etc. of the company, so I am not going to write company bio here.
I am 1and1 customer since 2008, they have been hosting my websites for over 2 years (Thank you 1and1!) with no problem. I decided to write this review after reading some horrible stories out there about 1and1. Their accounts got closed, got banned etc.
Don’t let those comments form negative opinion in your mind about 1and1, it looks like those people are in seek of new things to say “dude, that sucks”. Some of their complaints are really ridiculous, such as “I can’t cancel” – Come on…
At Cancel.1and1.com you can cancel anything and anytime you want!
The only thing I agree with people complaining: I am not a non-tech person, I am good at web design, coding, Database management, even Graphic design – almost everything you need to run a website and I don’t need anyone else’s help to solve my problem with my website, but it is true that 1and1′s technical support isn’t good… But hey I am against those comments and stories! 1and1 is my favorite web-hosting company and I am not planning to move somewhere else, simply because I am satisfied with their service!
1and1 is an awesome company. I am not working for them, but let me tell you that they are just awesome. Their tech support is low, but their services are high quality, uptime, and SECURE. Having hosted 10+ websites on 1and1, I’ve never had any issues.
Their hosting plans are affordable – They will not charge you $90 and give $85 of that to the person that referred you (aka affiliates), but they will offer you seasonal discounts such as 12 Months Free Hosting, cheap and fast domain registration (usually under 4-5 hours) at very low price!
